2017-18 Premier League – Saturday 10th March Matches Betting Preview

The next round of Premier League fixtures begin as ever on Saturday and there is an age old battle which gets everything underway in what looks a big day at both ends of the table given the fixtures on show.

This is a typical Saturday in that we have three kick off times to get stuck into but unlike some days the action kicks off with the pick of the matches. The support cast is decent enough though it should be said.

Offer available until kick off

Early Kick Off

The action kicks off at Old Trafford when the two arch rivals meet as Manchester United host Liverpool in the battle between second and third. The fixtures between these two at Anfield have been dour affairs in recent times but at Old Trafford you get the feeling that something has to give and hopefully we will see a better game here as a result.

3pm Matches

There are some massive games towards the foot of the table in this lot of matches. One game which doesn’t carry much importance in terms of the drop is the one between Everton and Brighton at Goodison Park while there is a big game as Huddersfield host Swansea. Arguably the biggest game of the afternoon comes from St James’ Park as Newcastle welcome Southampton while West Brom will look for a much needed win when they host Leicester. Burnley head to West Ham in the other game.

Late Game

We finish with a London derby when the champions Chelsea will look to get some pressure onto Tottenham when they host Crystal Palace. The visitors may still be reeling from their agonising defeat to Manchester United on Monday night so Chelsea might be getting the Eagles at the right time.

Betting

I’ll go with two bets here and they get going in the first match of the day where I think we are going to see goals at Old Trafford. I just don’t see how Manchester United contain this Liverpool side so I think they are going to have to open up and look to score themselves at some point and as we saw when Chelsea went to Old Trafford they can certainly do that. Crystal Palace exposed United defensively at times the other night so this powerful Liverpool attack will. Over 2.5 goals looks the play in this one.

The other bet is on Leicester who look to have a perfect opportunity to see off West Brom. West Brom have to go for it now and that plays into the Leicester counter attack perfectly. Draws are no use to West Brom so there is no way they can shut up the shop or anything and with the threat Leicester pose in attacking areas I think they will have the pace, skill and quality to come away with the win. Usually I would take the draw cover on offer but with draws no use to West Brom I’ll back Leicester on the nose.
