2017-18 Premier League – Saturday 30th September Matches Betting Preview

The final weekend of the Premier League prior to the latest international break begins with a seven match card on Saturday which includes a real heavyweight battle to round things off. As with the majority of Saturday’s we have three kick off times to get stuck into and a couple of live matches in the UK to enjoy.

Early kick off

It all begins in Yorkshire when Huddersfield Town host a Tottenham Hotspur side who will be looking for another three points on the road. Huddersfield have made a positive start to the season and have the chance of a major scalp but Tottenham are undefeated away from home and have the chance to move into third place temporarily.

3pm Matches

Two sides at the wrong end of the table meet when Bournemouth host Leicester at the Vitality Stadium while second placed Manchester United welcome struggling Crystal Palace to Old Trafford. Two mid-table teams take each other on at the Bet365 Stadium when Stoke City play Southampton. The other two matches see West Brom playing surprisingly high-flying Watford at The Hawthorns and West Ham playing Swansea in a big game for both sides.

Late Game

The best is once again saved for last when the champions Chelsea host the leaders Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. A Chelsea win will see them move level on points with City but should they lose then they would have a six point deficit to make up which even this early in the campaign could be a sizeable margin.

Betting

There is not a huge amount I like on this card if I am honest. Matches are either too close to call or sides who I think will win are too short or handicap lines on them are a touch on the high side. There is one which I’m happy to take though which will hopefully serve me well for the day.

That is the fairly obvious bet of Manchester United. I’m not a fan of massive handicaps per se but Crystal Palace have got obvious problems right now. They have lost every match this season and haven’t even scored a goal yet and now they will be without Christian Benteke as well as a couple of defenders.

Manchester United are in excellent form at the minute with Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford all on fire and the supply line to those are pretty decent enough too. Palace are yet to score, United have only conceded twice all season and they were in the same game at Stoke. I can’t see beyond an easy home win.
