2017-18 Premier League – Sunday 29th April Matches Betting Preview

The Premier League weekend continues with two matches in the division on Sunday afternoon and with the top two in action it promises to be a decent day in the top flight with plenty still at stake in the opener and one of the grudge matches of the campaign in the second one.

West Ham vs Man City

We begin at the London Stadium where West Ham go in search of points and after Southampton’s victory on Saturday they could really do with a victory to ease the pressure on themselves in the last couple of matches. That won’t be easy though because they play host to the champions Man City.

West Ham were putting a decent run together but a battering late on against Arsenal last weekend has just halted their progress and they could do with getting back on the horse here. City might have won the title but there has been no discernible let from them and they are entitled to be tough to beat here.

Given that West Ham need something from this match and the way City just flow whenever they set foot onto the pitch I think over 3 goals is the right way to play this one.

Man Utd vs Arsenal

The second match on Sunday would usually be the biggest match of the weekend but given that Arsenal have fallen away this season it doesn’t feel as big as maybe it should when Arsene Wenger goes to Old Trafford to face Man Utd for the final time as Gunners boss.

It will be interesting to see how Arsenal approach this match. On one hand it means nothing to them and with the second leg of their Europa League semi-final on Thursday evening they could choose to rest a host of players and save themselves for that but in doing so they could get torn apart and that won’t do them any favours.

I think we can safely say that we would back Man Utd to win this match regardless of what Arsenal do in the game but given the likelihood that one or two key players will be saved for midweek the margin of victory for United could well be greater than usual.
