2017-18 Premier League – Sunday 3rd December Matches Betting Preview

The latest Premier League weekend concludes with the usual Super Sunday double header and this week the focus will be on the league leaders Manchester City to see if they can restore their eight point lead at the top of the table when they host West Ham.

Prior to those two doing battle we have a south coast derby of sorts at the Vitality Stadium when Bournemouth play host to their Solent rivals Southampton to get the day underway.

Bournemouth vs Southampton

Two sides in the bottom half of the Premier League table begin the day when Bournemouth play host to Southampton in a battle of a pair of inconsistent teams with much to prove in this game.

Southampton head into it with just one win in their last five matches, against a pretty abject on the day Everton side whereas Bournemouth will be out to prove that their midweek defeat to Burnley was purely a blip after three positive results to precede it.

This looks a pretty even game to me. Had they not suffered that defeat to Burnley I may well have taken Bournemouth but they did and I don’t like the thought of taking them off the back of that especially against a side who can defend well so I’ll leave this one alone.

Man City vs West Ham

The leaders have the chance to restore their eight point lead at the top in the final match of the weekend in what looks to be their easiest match of the season so far given the problems West Ham are having currently.

I would imagine even the most ardent West Ham fan would be thinking this is not a case of who will win this match but rather how many Man City will win it by. That is certainly how I see it because West Ham are devoid of confidence and full of injuries.

Everton bagged four against West Ham without too many problems in midweek and with no disrespect to the Toffees if they are scoring that many against them this City side would really take them apart especially if they score early.

Given all that I like over 3.75 goals. City can cover that on their own quite easily but if West Ham do manage to find the net it would certainly do us no harm.
