There is one match in the Premier League on Sunday which comes from Vicarage Road as Watford host fellow Londoners West Ham in the Super Sunday match up. This sees David Moyes’ first match in charge of the Hammers which will add to the profile of the contest.
Watford made a good start to the campaign but have faltered recently while West Ham have got nothing going so there is plenty of intrigue in this match if not much excitement on paper.

Watford
The Hornets had made a really good start to the season but they have lost their last three prior to the international break so the rest and time off came at the right time for them. Their latest defeat saw them lose from 2-0 up at Everton so they are probably chomping at the bit to get going and put things right.
Watford matches are rarely dull this season. They are one of the leading scorers in the division but there have been very few sides who have conceded more than them which is far from ideal. We saw at the beginning of the campaign that if they can remain tight at the back then they can come up with the goods this season.
West Ham
West Ham have been very poor in the main in this season. They have been so bad that the hands of the owners was forced in terms of getting rid of Slaven Bilic and it will be interesting to see what effect David Moyes can have both in terms of getting something from them over the course of the season and also in this match.
You would think a manager with the reputation that Moyes has will focus on sorting out the Hammers’ back line and building from there but having had players away on international duty since he took over it remains to be seen how much work he could have got into them. At the very least he will want effort and a spirit.
Team News
Heurelho Gomes has been passed fit to play in this match despite leaving the Everton loss with a head injury two weeks ago. Younes Kaboul is out though while Troy Deeney continues to serve his suspension. Christian Kabasele is fit.
There will be no Javier Hernandez for West Ham after he picked up an injury while on international duty. Pablo Zabaleta is back while Winston Reid should be available despite his excursions for New Zealand.

Betting
I don’t think this is a match that would be wise to bet on. Watford have just lost from two up in their last match while we would need to see West Ham under David Moyes to get a feel about how they are going to play and any changes he might make to their set up and philosophy.
Given all that and with all the football that we have coming up over the next six weeks or so it is a fairly easy decision to save our money here and wait for much better opportunities.
