2017-18 Premier League – Wednesday 29th November Matches Betting Preview

The midweek round of matches in the Premier League comes to a close on Wednesday evening with the final six fixtures are played out on what looks like a night where there could be a number of one-sided contests.

We have the leaders Manchester City in action but it is two strugglers who are on TV when Everton host West Ham. The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are also on show so we should get plenty of decent football.

Wednesday’s fixtures are as follows (19.45 unless stated)

Arsenal v Huddersfield

Bournemouth v Burnley

Chelsea v Swansea

Everton v West Ham (20.00)

Man City v Southampton (20.00)

Stoke v Liverpool (20.00)

Big Matches

Manchester City host Southampton looking to regain their eight point lead at the top of the Premier League table while Southampton will be looking to move back into the top half. Chelsea can retain third spot if they can see off a Swansea side who need the points themselves. Everton and West Ham will be desperate for the points when they face off at Goodison Park.

Best of the Rest

Arsenal will be looking to move four points clear of local rivals Tottenham when they entertain Huddersfield Town at the Emirates Stadium while Liverpool will move above Tottenham themselves if they can win at Stoke. Burnley are another side who could move above Spurs if they can get a win at a resurgent Bournemouth.

Betting

I’m going with just the one bet here which comes in the form of West Ham who face Everton. The Toffees have looked a bit of a shambles for a while now but perhaps never as bad as the last week. They were pathetic against Atalanta in the Europa League last week and offered nothing against Southampton at the weekend.

West Ham haven’t won in ages but at least there were signs of improvement in their draw with Leicester City. That shows that David Moyes is capable of getting a tune out of the side he has inherited whereas Unsworth is getting nothing out of this Everton side. Unsworth has gone down the attacking the character of his players in the media route this week and that is always a last resort.

With the way Everton are defending at the minute – they’ve shipped two or more in their last five matches in the league – I expect West Ham to find the net and if they have something to hang on to they might just do it successfully.
