We have reached crunch time in Sky Bet League 2 with the two sets of fixtures over Easter likely to sort out, or go a long way to sorting out, most of the major issues in the division and they all get underway on Good Friday.
We have a complete schedule to kick off the Easter period on Friday which means that issues at the top, the play-offs and the bottom of the table are all under the microscope on what looks like a competitive card.
Good Friday’s fixtures are as follows:
Barnet v Crewe Alexandra
Cambridge United v Crawley Town
Cheltenham Town v Carlisle United
Colchester United v Luton Town
Grimsby Town v Stevenage
Lincoln City v Exeter City
Mansfield Town v Accrington Stanley
Newport County v Coventry City
Notts County v Wycombe Wanderers
Port Vale v Chesterfield
Swindon Town v Morecambe
Yeovil Town v Forest Green Rovers
Big Matches
There is no doubt where the big matches take place on Friday. The biggest of the lot comes at Meadow Lane where Notts County look to close right in on Wycombe in a battle of fourth against third. Wycombe can take a massive step towards promotion if they win. The other big match sees second placed Accrington Stanley looking to regain top spot when they head to take on Mansfield Town who must win to stay in the automatic mix. Leaders Luton head to Colchester.
Best of the Rest
At the other end of the table things are getting very serious for Barnet when they entertain Crewe in a match you feel they really must win to keep their survival hopes realistic. Two sides still in the mix for the drop meet at Vale Park when Port Vale take on Chesterfield while Grimsby are in freefall and will hope to arrest their slump when they entertain Stevenage. In the play-off mix Exeter head to Lincoln and Coventry travel to Newport.

Betting
I think this is a tricky card especially as it is the first match of two this weekend but there is one team who I feel are overpriced and that is Exeter City. They travel to Lincoln on Friday to take on a Lincoln side who might just be flattering to deceive at the minute and who almost certainly will have half an eye on Wembley.
Lincoln are unbeaten in four matches but their last three have been against sides in the bottom six in the table. Prior to that they were mullered 4-1 at home by Crewe and that is clearly not a good result. Exeter are just beginning to get things right on the road having won three of their last four and a win here could really open up a door to the top three given that the two sides above them face each other. That won’t be lost on the Devonians and I think they can pick up a result of some kind in this one.
