2017-18 Sky Bet League 2 – Saturday 11th November Matches Betting Preview

After the latest round of matches in Sky Bet League 2 began on Friday night, the remainder of them takes place on Saturday afternoon with 11 more games up and down the country for us to get stuck into.

With the season moving towards a busy Christmas period sides will know now is a good time to catch fire as a batch of wins can have you moving a long way up the table. Having had two weeks without a league match I would imagine plenty are chomping at the bit to get going again.

Saturday’s fixtures are as follows:

Barnet v Colchester United

Cambridge United v Accrington Stanley

Carlisle United v Yeovil Town

Cheltenham Town v Luton Town

Coventry City v Mansfield Town

Crawley Town v Forest Green Rovers

Crewe Alexandra v Lincoln City

Exeter City v Grimsby Town

Morecambe v Wycombe Wanderers

Stevenage v Notts County

Swindon Town v Chesterfield

Big Matches

The top three are all on the road on Saturday. The leaders Notts County are away to Stevenage while second placed Accrington make the lengthy journey to Cambridge. Third placed Luton head down the M5 to Cheltenham who will be looking to bounce back from their embarrassing defeat to Maidstone in the FA Cup last week. Exeter in fourth place will be looking to end a run of four without a win when they host Grimsby with the other big match of the day seeing sixth placed Coventry taking on a flattering to deceive Mansfield side at the Ricoh Arena.

Best of the Rest

Two relegated sides meet at the County Ground when Swindon Town host Chesterfield while two sides at the wrong end of the table will do battle in Sussex as Crawley Town host Forest Green Rovers. Wycombe face a potentially tricky trip to Morecambe looking to keep hold of their place in the playoffs.

Betting

I’m going to go with two bets on Saturday. The first of them is on a Swindon Town side who have struggled at home but who I believe are beginning to find their groove now. They gave Dartford a good going over in the Cup last week which will have done their confidence no harm and have won three of their last four in the league. They are still not fantastic at home but that will come. Chesterfield are nothing special and are really struggling at the minute. Their only points on the road this season have come at Crawley and Colchester and neither are massive form guides. I fancy Swindon to kick on over the next few weeks and that can begin here.

The second bet comes from Crawley where I can’t be having the home side at the prices. Crawley have just one home win all season and that was against a Yeovil side who struggle on the road. Their only other home point came last time out against Luton when the match was played in the middle of galeforce winds so you couldn’t call it football. They have only scored one goal in their last five at home too. They take on a Forest Green side who are starting to find their feet at the level. They have won their last three in the league including wins at Coventry and Stevenage and a creditable point at the leaders Notts County prior to that and they had a good win in the Cup last week. Crawley looked a nervous side when I was there a couple of weeks back and a Forest Green side gaining more and more confidence can add to that.
