There is a little bit of a lop-sided look to the Sky Bet League 2 table with some sides having played more than others but all 24 teams are in action on a busy but important day in the division on Saturday afternoon.
We are heading into the final third of the campaign over the next week so the battle for positions is set to intensify beginning with the fixture list on Saturday.
Saturday’s fixtures are as follows:
Accrington Stanley v Stevenage
Chesterfield v Crawley Town
Colchester United v Newport County
Forest Green Rovers v Coventry City
Grimsby Town v Cheltenham Town
Lincoln City v Swindon Town
Luton Town v Exeter City
Mansfield Town v Barnet
Notts County v Crewe Alexandra
Port Vale v Morecambe
Wycombe Wanderers v Carlisle United
Yeovil Town v Cambridge United
Big Matches
Not for the first time in recent times the big match of the afternoon comes from Kenilworth Road where the leaders Luton face another big test in the form of Exeter City, a side who will be eager to beat them after being thrashed when the two sides met in Devon. Wycombe moved into second place in midweek and they host Carlisle United while Notts County will be looking to get back on track when they entertain Crewe Alexandra. Mansfield Town will be looking to continue their charge when Barnet visit the One Call.
Best of the Rest
Coventry City make the trip to Forest Green Rovers with both sides needing the points for different reasons. Accrington will be looking to get back among the automatic promotion mix when they play host to Stevenage while at the other end of the table Chesterfield welcome the form horses Crawley to the Proact Stadium.

Betting
This is not the easiest set of matches to bet on as there was a lot of business done in the division on deadline day and as such squads will need to settle down again but I’m happy to take two bets.
Luton Town and Exeter City have a style that usually equates to a number of goals when they play. Luton won the reverse fixture between the two 4-1 which is sure to have the Grecians fired up here but after a home defeat in midweek the Hatters will be eager to put in an emphatic performance. Both these sides have plenty of goals in them and with Scott Cuthbert continuing to be a big miss in the Luton defence I expect the goals to flow here. Some sides go to Kenilworth Road to kill the game but Exeter won’t do that and the spectacle, and goal tally, can benefit as a result.
Crawley Town are in excellent form at the minute and that can continue at Chesterfield. Given the signings that the Spireites made on deadline day you would think they would improve over the remainder of the season but it might need a game or two for them to gel and a much more settled Crawley should be fancying their chances. Crawley have won five of their last six and as outsiders they appeal in this one.
