2017 BDO World Darts Championship – Day 7 Betting Preview

It is another big day of darts in the BDO World Darts Championship at the Lakeside Country Club on Friday as the men’s quarter finals and the ladies semi-finals take place on the famous stage.

We have some great matches on show across the two sessions of action so we should be in for a blinding day of darting action as the tournament heads towards a conclusion. We’re up to the best of nine sets for the men now to further ensure good quality.

Afternoon Session

The action begins with the power scorers Darryl Fitton and Geert de Vos opposing each other. They are followed by the opening ladies semi-final which looks an absolute belter between Aileen de Graaf and the former winner Lisa Ashton. The afternoon is rounded off by Martin Adams facing Jamie Hughes.

Evening Session

The second semi-final in the ladies tournament kicks the evening off as Corrine Hammond takes on Anastasia Dobromyslova before Glen Durrant looks to build on that crazy comeback of the other night when he takes on Darius Labanauskas before the action concludes with arguably the pick of the matches as Scott Waites continues his title defence against the dangerous Danny Noppert.

Betting

I’m tempted to get involved in the afternoon session as Darryl Fitton and Jamie Hughes both tempt me but I’m going to leave them alone. Geert de Vos is in his first quarter final and he is an ever shortening favourite too which adds a different complexion to his mindset but he looked confident in the last round and Fitton’s missed doubles is a big concern. I think Hughes will beat Wolfie but I don’t like taking odds on.

I am getting involved in the evening though where I am taking two bets. I’m effectively already on Anastasia Dobromyslova to beat Corrine Hammond courtesy of my outright bet on her but I can’t ignore the odds on the Russian to win 2-0. She has been more than 10pts between than the Australian this week and you would think the pressure of the situation will get to Hammond now. Anastasia has gone through this round before and she can cruise through it again.

I think Glen Durrant will cruise through his match too. I like Darius Labanauskas and rate him quite highly but he has missed a lot of doubles this week and he won’t get away with them here. Durrant is freerolling this week now. In his mind he was out against Hogan the other night but having survived that I’m expecting to see his best game from the start here. If we do this could be a tough night for the Lithuanian.
