2017 European Darts Matchplay – Last 16 Betting Preview

It is the final day of the European Darts Matchplay in Hamburg on Sunday and as ever with these European Tour events we have the last 16, quarter finals, semi-finals and the final all taking place on a busy day of darts.

The last 16 will be played out in the afternoon session with the rest of the event in the evening on Sunday. Sadly once again time restrictions will stop us previewing more than just the last 16 but we do have our outright bet still running so hopefully he will provide interest in the final session. We can preview the last 16 though and here we go.

First Four Matches

The action begins with our outright punt Mensur Suljovic. He has a tough one against Daryl Gurney with the winner to play the winner of the match between Ian White and Dave Chisnall in the quarter final. Those two are on second before Stephen Bunting faces Kyle Anderson. The first half of the afternoon then concludes with Peter Wright meeting Cristo Reyes.

Later Four Matches

Andy Hamilton had a fantastic win over Simon Whitlock on Saturday evening and he’ll be looking to back that up when he faces Michael Smith before Vincent van der Voort and Joe Cullen do battle. The session concludes with Peter Hudson facing Alan Norris and Michael van Gerwen going up against Mervyn King.

Betting

After a winner on Saturday and a good priced one at that I’m not going too mad in this round of matches. In fact there is just one I like the look of and that is very much from a value point of view I must say.

So far this weekend Vincent van der Voort has beaten Adrian Lewis and Benito van de Pas, the latter being seen off with a magical 10 dart finish. VVDV hit six 180s in that match and averaged a shade under the ton so he’s going well right now. Joe Cullen is improving all the time and is dangerous every time he goes to the oche. I like Cullen and rate him highly but the way van der Voort is playing I see this as near enough 50/50 so the 13/10 on the Dutchman, who is clearly in great nick, looks good value to me.

Tips

Back V.van der Voort to beat J.Cullen for a 4/10 stake at 2.30 with Bwin
