2017 European Darts Open – Last 16 Betting Preview

As with the seven European Tour events before it the European Darts Open concludes on Sunday with the last 16 right the way through to the final on what will be a busy but exciting day in Dusseldorf with most of the big names making it through their match on Saturday.

The last 16 will be played in the afternoon which we will preview in this post but once again time restrictions are going to deny us the chance to provide insight into the rest of the tournament.

First Four Matches

We get underway with a clash between Mensur Suljovic and Joe Cullen who meet for the second weekend in a row. They are followed by John Henderson and Alan Norris. James Richardson plays Dave Chisnall in the third match of the day before Peter Wright and Stephen Bunting take us to the interval.

Later Four Matches

Gerwyn Price is in action straight after the break. He takes on Dimitri van den Bergh before Michael Smith takes on Daryl Gurney in the tie of the round. The last two matches of the afternoon see Mervyn King facing Devon Petersen and Michael van Gerwen going up against Rob Cross.

Betting

I’m going to finish this tournament off with just the one bet which comes in the opening match of the afternoon as Joe Cullen takes on Mensur Suljovic for the second week in a row. Cullen won their match last week and I fancy he could well win again.

Cullen went on to make it to the semi-final after beating Suljovic and the confidence he brought from there was evident in his first match here where he almost averaged a ton. Last week might have left a mark on Suljovic too because although he saw off Christian Kist he missed a lot of doubles and he won’t get away with that again. At the prices Cullen is too big not to go at here.

Tips

VOID – Back J.Cullen to beat M.Suljovic for a 4/10 stake at 2.75 with BetVictor
