2017 European Darts Open – Last 32 Betting Preview

The last 32 of the European Darts Open takes place across two sessions of packed action in Dusseldorf on Saturday and by the end of it the 16 men going forward to compete for the title will be in place.

This might be the first round that the seeds come to the party but there are still come cracking matches to look forward to with the entire day streamed live on the PDC streaming service and the bookmaker consoles.

Afternoon Session

The day gets underway with a match between Daryl Gurney and Jerry Hendriks before Gerwyn Price and Mark Walsh do battle. Alan Norris meets the talented Aden Kirk in the following match before Joe Cullen plays Krzysztof Ratajski to lead us into the interval.

We exit the interval with Benito van de Pas taking on James Richardson and then come on the two matches of the session as Kim Huybrechts plays John Henderson and Simon Whitlock faces Dimitri van den Bergh. The afternoon concludes with Stephen Bunting meeting Steffen Siepmann.

Evening Session

The match of the last 32 kicks us off in the evening when Dave Chisnall faces James Wade before last week’s finalist Michael Smith plays Peter Jacques. Ian White and Mervyn King follow them before Mensur Suljovic takes on Christian Kist to take is into the interval.

Peter Wright and Robbie Green meet in a belting match after the break before the battle of the best mates as Michael van Gerwen takes on Vincent van der Voort. The last two matches of the day see Jelle Klaasen playing Devon Petersen and Rob Cross meeting Robert Allenstein.

Betting

I’m getting my match betting going with just the one bet which comes in the evening session. Ian White and Mervyn King are both top players but when they meet one man tends to hold the upper hand.

That is White. In their seven meetings he has won six and the one he lost, three years ago now, he only lost on a deciding leg so he seems to raise his game whenever he takes on King. Both these men are solid players but the extra scoring power that White has can see him come through this one at a decent enough price given their past record.

Tips

Back I.White to beat M.King for a 4/10 stake at 1.80 with 888sport
