2017 German Darts Grand Prix – Last 32 Betting Preview

The last 32 of the German Darts Grand Prix takes place across the usual two sessions on Saturday and the Mannheim crowd should be treated to some wonderful arrers with the big names joining the tournament.

There should be some decent matches in both sessions as the 32 men left in the tournament battle it out for a place in the last day of the event on Sunday.

Afternoon Session

Ian White and Jermaine Wattimena get the action underway in the afternoon session. They are followed by Joe Cullen and Tony Martinez. Benito van de Pas plays Jamie Caven after that before two of the newer brigade meet when Rob Cross faces Jan Dekker.

One of the matches of the afternoon resumes proceedings after the interval when Dave Chisnall hosts Nathan Aspinall while the other appealing match follows as Mervyn King goes up against Vincent van der Voort. The afternoon concludes with Gerwyn Price going up against Krzysztof Ratajski and Jelle Klaasen facing Jamie Bain.

Evening Session

Two tasty matches get the evening underway with Alan Norris facing Darren Webster and Kim Huybrechts going up a man in form in the shape of Kyle nderson. With no Germans left in the tournament the crowds will be behind Mensur Suljovic. He goes up against Mick McGowan before Peter Wright plays Ronny Huybrechts.

After the short break Michael van Gerwen will be back on the stage when he plays Richard North before Daryl Gurney and Keegan Brown do battle. The final two matches of the night sees Michael Smith playing Jamie Lewis with the action ending as Simon Whitlock meets Daniel Larsson in the closer.

Betting

I like three bets over the course of the day on Saturday. In the afternoon session Krzysztof Ratajski looks overpriced to see off Gerwyn Price who just looks to have gone off the boil a little bit. Ratajski has been playing some really nice darts over the last 10 days or so and there were no signs that he is slowing down when he came through on Friday. At 8/5 he’s a big price.

Moving into the evening session and I like Darren Webster in the opening match. Alan Norris is a big scorer but under pressure he can never truly be relied upon to hit doubles. Darren Webster snapping at his ankles is probably the last thing he needs too. Webster looked very good in his win on Friday and we’ve seen before how he can be streaky on stage. I can’t dodge him at odds against.

Finally in the following match it makes perfect sense to ride the form of Kyle Anderson. In his win over Dirk van Duijvenbode on Friday night, Anderson hit 10 140s and three 180s in just 10 legs. That is phenomenal scoring. The Australian is clearly buoyed by his World Series win in New Zealand last month whereas his opponent here Kim Huybrechts has just dipped in form on the stage. Anderson looks a worthy in my eyes here.
