2017 NFL – Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans Betting Preview

As ever the final match of the NFL weekend comes in the Monday Night Football which this week sees the focus turning to the AFC South where there is a divisional battle for us to enjoy. The Tennessee Titans host the Indianapolis Colts at the Nissan Stadium with top spot in the division the reward for the winners.

Tennessee Titans

The Titans have had an up and down beginning to the campaign and head into the week 2-3 for the season. Having been beaten by Oakland in the opening week of the season they then rebounded for back-to-back victories over The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Seattle Seahawks before disappointing defeats to Houston and Miami.

The Houston defeat got many of the headlines as they conceded a 50 burger to them but last week’s one may have been more of an annoyance although the loss of Marcus Mariota for the game was not ideal. He is questionable for this one so if he is absent the rest of the Titans squad will need to step up to the mark.

Indianapolis Colts

It is not just the Titans who have been without their number one quarterback this season. The Colts have been without Andrew Luck throughout the campaign so far and Jacoby Brissett will fill in for him again here. Brissett has guided Indianapolis to two wins from five matches this season but when they have been beaten they’ve been heavily seen off.

Their defence has been found wanting on a few occasions but with some injuries to their offensive line going into this match they are going to need to maximise the mobility of Brissett. On the flip side they do have Jack Doyle back and that could be a huge weapon for the second string trigger puller to aim for.

Betting

This match could go either way and much of it will determine whether Marcus Mariota is good to go. Even then I’m not sure I would want to trust either defence to carry my money. I’d give the Titans the edge if Mariota suits up but not by anything significant enough to act upon so I’ll so to the player markets for a bet.

The player in question is T.Y. Hilton who should be able to feast on the Titans secondary. When going up against the weaker defensive sides this season Hilton has caught for 153 yards and 177 yards. We can allow him indifferent returns against the likes of the LA Rams, Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks. They have solid players in the backfield. The Titans lack that as we saw when they faced Houston and as a result I expect Hilton to go beyond 77.5 receiving yards.

Tips

Back T.Y.Hilton – Over 77.5 receiving yards for a 4/10 stake at 1.85 with BetVictor
