2017 NFL – Philadelphia Eagles at Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview

The final match of a busy Sunday in the NFL sees two of the best teams in the NFC meeting in a tasty looking Sunday Night Football as the Seattle Seahawks host the Philadelphia Eagles at CenturyLink Field.

The Eagles currently lead the way in the NFC while the Seahawks are very much in the wildcard mix in the Conference so this is a match which will have plenty of postseason implications.

Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks go into the match without that same consistency that we have come to expect from them. Usually at this time of year we are used to Seattle hitting top form but that hasn’t been the case this year as injuries have really begun to bite them. Despite that up and down form if they can put a winning run together they can still extend their season.

Russell Wilson has been given no protection all season which has been another issue with them and despite not getting protected they really need him to make plays for them because their run game has not fired like it has done in previous years. All that said they have a very talented roster which can defeat any side when they all click.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles head to Seattle with the best record in the NFL. They are 10-1 for the season and in the middle of a nine match winning run and if anything they look to be getting stronger and stronger. Offensively they have been bang on it and their defence is getting meaner by the match so they are very much Super Bowl contenders at this stage.

Philadelphia rank as the best run defence in the league this season. That statistic is flawed slightly given how often they have been ahead in matches and forcing sides to throw but they have the sixth best passing defence too. Their offense has gone up a level since Jay Ajayi arrived in the trade window so the Eagles look the real deal.

Betting

It is hard not to like the Philadelphia Eagles here. They have put up more than 20pts in every match this season and their defence is getting stingier with every match. Seattle Seahawks have so many injuries defensively that you think they are going to have to score plenty of points to stay alive in this one.

Russell Wilson is capable of great things but there is no major weakness in the Eagles defence so everything being equal I expect the best team in the NFC to pick up another win and to do it by a decent enough margin.
