Betting

There are a few bets I like over the course of the night here. The first comes from MetLife Stadium where I don’t see many points between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys. The Giants offensive struggles have been well documented and there is probably more pressure on Eli Manning here than there was before he was dropped. Dallas haven’t been pulling up many trees offensively since Ezekiel Elliott’s suspension began and the Giants’ defence has contained them well in recent meetings. 41.5pts seems a lot to cover here.

San Francisco 49ers had a good road win last week and they have now won two of their last three matches and I fancy they can pick up another success in Houston. The 49ers have got a lot tighter on defence in recent matches and they will go after Tom Savage in this one. If they can keep DeAndre Hopkins quiet then with Jimmy Garropolo starting to settle in nicely I think the 9ers have what it takes on offense to get the job done.

The match between the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets looks like a tough battle. The two sides are among the lowest scorers in the league while the Broncos at least offer one of the top five defences on show. The Jets can tough up on defence too when they need to but they might be fine anyway because the Denver offense is not firing at all. This is another match where the 41.5pts line feels a little high.

The Los Angeles Chargers are really charging at the minute. They have won three on the bounce and could take control of the AFC West if they can beat the Washington Redskins and I think they will do that. I think they will have a little in hand too. The Redskins are battered by injuries at the minute and while they can cope against the lesser sides without key players, coping without them away from home to a confident side is much different. The Chargers offense is nicely balanced and they are going well defensively at the minute so I think they’ll come through this and cover the cap.
