2018-19 Premier League – Saturday 10th November Matches Betting Preview

There is one more round of Premier League matches before the international break and it gets going with six fixtures on a quiet Saturday in the division. The majority of the leading lights are saved until Sunday which makes it a strange feeling day.

Five of the current top seven in the table are saved for a super looking Sunday but those in action on Saturday will be eager for the three points with a number of sides at the bottom looking to make themselves feel better going into the international break. We are back to three kick off times this week.

Early Kick Off

Things kick off at the Cardiff City Stadium where the home side Cardiff City go off in search of just a second win of the season when they play host to the form horses in the bottom half in Brighton and Hove Albion. Brighton will move into the top half for a few hours at least if they can win the match while Cardiff will climb up five places ahead of the other games if they can find a win.

3pm Matches

Huddersfield Town will go in search of consecutive wins when they welcome West Ham United to the John Smith’s Stadium in one of four 3pm matches. Emotions will be running high at the King Power Stadium when Leicester play their first home match there since the death of their chairman. Burnley are the visitors for what could be a poignant afternoon. Newcastle United are another side looking for a second win of the campaign when they host Bournemouth while Watford make the trip to take on a Southampton team who are also in search of a second win of the season.

Late Game

The action finishes at Selhurst Park as Tottenham look to go level on points with second placed Chelsea for a few hours at least when they take on a Crystal Palace side who will be looking to back up their draw with Arsenal a couple of weeks ago. Tottenham have had a good week so far and victory against the Eagles would cap it but this Palace side lay down for nobody so we should get quite a competitive encounter.

Betting

I’ll go with two bets over the course of Saturday with the first coming via a West Ham United side who I fully expect to win at Huddersfield. I watched Huddersfield on Monday night and wasn’t all that impressed with what I saw. They looked to be lacking plenty in attacking areas and you got the feeling had Fulham actually gone after them they would have had vulnerabilities at the back. West Ham should open up this Huddersfield defence. The likes of Marko Arnautovic and Felipe Anderson are two of the better players in the league outside the top six and with Huddersfield registering and offering little in front of goal it might be that one is enough for the Hammers to win this. However many they need, I fancy West Ham here.

We saw just how much the tragic events of the last couple of weeks have brought the Leicester City squad together when they played Cardiff last weekend and I expect them to build on that and play off the emotion that will be around when they face Burnley. Burnley are shipping goals left, right and centre and a potent Leicester side can exploit that. Burnley might offer something up front but you get the feeling the Leicester players won’t allow themselves to be beaten on what is something of a significant occasion for the club.
