2018-19 Premier League – Saturday 15th December Matches Betting Preview

A big weekend in the Premier League gets underway on Saturday afternoon and with Christmas approaching there is a feel that this one has the potential to be a pivotal week in the overall story of the campaign.

The champions Manchester City are in action, looking to regain top spot in the division after surrendering it last weekend. Along with Tottenham, they are the only sides in the supposed big six taking to the pitch on Saturday.

New Customers can get Man City at an enhanced 25/1 to beat Everton. Max Stake £1. Winnings paid in free bets. Full T&Cs Apply. 18+|Gamble Aware.

Early Kick Off

We kick off the day with the champions Manchester City in action. Ironically they face the arch-rivals of the only side above them in the table when Everton are the visitors to the Etihad Stadium. Pep Guardiola hates losing so his side will be all out to get the three points here. Everton have the potential to be competitive here but they have just hit the skids a little since that disappointment in the Merseyside derby.

3pm Matches

We have five matches kicking off in that traditional 3pm slot which is fast becoming a thing of the past. Tottenham Hotspur play host to Burnley in the biggest one of those although the match between Huddersfield Town and Newcastle United at the John Smith’s Stadium is pretty big too.

Elsewhere Crystal Palace go up against Leicester in a match both will be looking to win while Watford play host to a Cardiff team looking to get their away form somewhere near their strong home showings. The other match sees Wolverhampton Wanderers taking on Bournemouth.

Late Game

The day concludes at Craven Cottage where an entertaining London derby should be played out as Fulham play host to West Ham United. West Ham have really picked up in recent weeks and will be looking to move into the top 10 with a win here while Fulham can potentially move up a couple of places if they can find a win they strongly desire.

Betting

I actually think this is a tricky card and with a whole host of football coming up in the next three weeks there is no need to force anything that is not there so I’m not going to push the boat out here too much. There is one bet that catches my eye however.

We have to wait until the late match for it but hopefully it will be well worth the wait. Everywhere I look at the Fulham and West Ham game I see goals. Both sides will think they can win this match and want to win it and that always helps the flow of goals but neither give off the impression that they can defend, even with Claudio Ranieri now in charge of the Cottagers. A pretty useless Man Utd side put four past Fulham last week and West Ham are scoring goals now. I expect over 2.5 goals to be covered here.
