The Easter period in Sky Bet League 1 comes to a close on Tuesday evening on what is a massive night for the four sides in action. The promotion race, play-off battle and relegation scrap will all be in the spotlight on a truly meaningful evening of action.
There is still so much to be finalised in the third tier this term, and these two matches will go some way to determining the outcome of a lot that still needs revolving. Unfortunately neither of these games are on TV though.
Doncaster Rovers vs Accrington Stanley
Doncaster Rovers will look to all but secure their play-off spot when they play host to Accrington Stanley, who still need three points to ease the mounting pressure on them in the relegation battle so this should be a keenly fought encounter at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Doncaster have not impressed away from home in recent times but there has been little wrong with their home form with them having not lost at the Keepmoat since October. Accrington haven’t won many matches full stop since then and they were given a run around in pretty intense heat against Luton on Saturday afternoon too, playing the bulk of the match with 10 men and looking physically done for the last 10-15 minutes of that contest.
I was going to back Doncasterin this match regardless of Saturday but having been at the Wham Stadium and seen the physical exertion the Accrington players went through I’m even more confident that Donny will not slip up here. I’ll back them to cover the handicap.

Luton Town vs AFC Wimbledon
The second match of the evening sees the table topping Luton Town look to move within a win of the title when they play host to an AFC Wimbledon side who will be desperate to avoid defeat to assist their battle against relegation.
Luton are yet to be beaten at home this season and when the pressure was put on them on Friday they answered it emphatically on Saturday. They will hope to do that again here and will be expected to do so. Wimbledon have seen a couple of teams around them win on Monday so they will want to get a win here to set up the great escape.
I expect Luton to win the game but bookmakers are all over that likelihood so it might well be that the way to play this match is to take over 2.5 goals. A draw doesn’t really do anything for these sides. If they have to settle for it I’m sure they will do but I don’t think either will want it so the first goal should see the game catch fire. We don’t necessarily need it to do so though as Luton are more than capable of covering that on their own.
