The second night of UEFA Nations League matches in this international break takes place on Friday evening when seven more games are played out on another important night for many teams in the newly formed competition.
Spots in the semi-finals are at stake as are promotion and relegation places so everything is set up for a very good night of football to go alongside the one we saw across the continent on Thursday evening.
Group A
There is just the one match in Group A on Friday and it comes from A1 where the world champions France can make it into the semi-finals if they avoid defeat when they travel to the Netherlands. The Dutch can take their qualifying hopes to the final match if they win this game but if they lose a Monday night relegation showdown with Germany awaits them.
Group B
Two matches take place in Group B on Friday night and it is a huge occasion for Wales in one of them. They play host to Denmark knowing that if they win they will be promoted to the elite group. Anything but a win will leave them exposed to the result of the other match on Monday evening. Slovakia face Ukraine in B1 with the Ukraine already promoted. A Slovakia win would take the relegation battle to the final match.
Group C
C3 is the focus of attention in the third tier on Friday evening as Norway and Bulgaria continue to battle for the promotion place in the group. Bulgaria look to have the easier assignment on the night as they head to Cyprus while Norway face a tricky test out in Slovenia with the home side there in desperate need of a win to avoid relegation to the bottom level.
Group D
It is all about D4 as far as the basement group is concerned on Friday where amazingly Gibraltar will go in search of a third win in a row in this competition. They host an Armenia side who they have already beaten in this group and a win would set up a promotion opportunity on Monday evening. The same goes for Armenia. Were the match to end a draw then Macedonia would be promoted if they can win in Liechtenstein.

Betting
After a disastrous night on Thursday I’m going to get back on the horse with one bet on Friday evening and it comes on the big match in Cardiff where I think Wales are getting a nice enough handicap to take them against Denmark.
Wales looked really good in their opening match against the Republic of Ireland and while things haven’t gone as well since then it should be noted that they have been without Gareth Bale since. He is fit for this match and he, along with the likes of Aaron Ramsey, David Brooks and Tom Lawrence can really test the Danish defence. Wales won’t have needed to do too much work on Denmark. They will know if they can shackle Christian Eriksen they go a long way to shutting the Danes down. I fancy they can do that and get the win which will send them among the elite for the next Nations League.
