2018-19 UEFA Nations League – Tuesday 11th September Matches Betting Preview

The final night of matches in the UEFA Nations League in this international break takes place on Tuesday evening when seven more fixtures take place across the continent on a night which sees some good matches on the schedule.

Among the sides in action are the World Cup finalists Croatia as well as Spain and semi-finalists in Russia, Belgium. That should ensure we get yet more competitive action and another entertaining night of football.

Group A

There are two matches in the elite group on Tuesday night. In A4, England will be watching on as Spain and Croatia do battle. A Spain win would make winning the group very tough for England. In the other game in this group Iceland play host to Belgium in A2 looking to make up for their 6-0 humbling at the hands of Switzerland on Saturday night.

Group B

There is only the one match in Group B on Tuesday evening and it comes from B3 where Bosnia-Herzegovina will look to build on their win over Northern Ireland on Saturday afternoon when they play host to an Austria side who play their first match in the competition in a section they are probably the favourites on paper to win.

Group C

Both the matches in this group comes from C2 where the pick of the fixtures is the one between Hungary and Greece. You would think if either want to enhance their hopes of making it to Euro 2020 they will need to win here. The other game in the group sees Finland playing host to Estonia who look the weak link in the second.

Group D

In the minnows group the action comes from D2 with two matches as a rapidly improving Luxembourg side will look to build on their find opening win at the weekend when they head to San Marino. In the other match Moldova will be looking to bounce back from the loss to Luxembourg when they host Belarus.

Betting

I’ll go with a couple of bets over the course of Tuesday night in the hope of getting a bit more luck than I picked up on Monday evening. The first of those bets is on an Austria side who I think can go to Bosnia and pick up a win. Austria head into the match with eight wins in their last nine matches which includes victories over Germany, Russia and Sweden and there is no way Bosnia are as good as any of those. Bosnia-Herzegovina did win their first match on Saturday but Northern Ireland of all teams outshot them 5:1 with 26 shots at goal. A lack of quality did for Northern Ireland but if this Austria side get the same amount of opportunities I expect them to take enough to extend their final winning run.

Moldova have scored just one goal in their last 10 matches and have just suffered a 4-0 reversal by Luxembourg to open up their campaign in this tournament. I think they simply have to be taken on by a Belarus team who will be confident of another victory after they thrashed San Marino 5-0 at the weekend. Belarus look a much more competitive team at the minute and at a shade under evens they look a fairly obvious play.
