2018 Riga Masters Snooker Qualifying – Day 3 Betting Preview

The penultimate day of the qualifying event for the Riga Masters has arrived with another bunch of players taking to the green baize looking to book their spots in the first ranking event of the campaign in Latvia.

We’ve seen some good snooker already this week and on Wednesday we will see The Masters champion Mark Allen in action for the first time this season while the man he beat in the final of that tournament, Kyren Wilson, and Anthony McGill are on show too. We’re running a little behind with our preview but there is one bet we like over the course of the day.

Joe Swail is on the main table in the late afternoon session, due off at 16.00 BST, when he faces Dechawat Poomjaeng and while the Thai is no longer on the tour I see no reason why he can’t take advantage of opportunities which come his way like this one.

In fact, Poomjaeng was ridiculously unfortunate at Q-School, losing in the deciding match for a tour card in two of the three events that was held there so while he is no longer officially a professional he isn’t far away from being on the tour and he may well get into most events. Although it was a few weeks ago that winning form should at least give him confidence here. Swail may be heavily lacking in that having had a poor season last time and that campaign ended particularly badly with barely a win coming anywhere. With all that in mind I’m happy enough to take the extroverted Thai to win his first match of the campaign.

Tips

Back D.Poomjaeng to beat J.Swail for a 4/10 stake at 2.00 with Ladbrokes

Back him here:
