The last full round of matches in the Royal London One Day Cup takes place on Sunday on what should be a really big day of cricket up and down the country if the weather allows everyone to play ball.
Both group tables are amazingly tight which given there are only two matches left for most counties means there is a lot to play for and plenty of cup finals to come over the next few days, not least on Sunday. Unfortunately the Test match gets the TV treatment so we are reduced to the county coverage of these matches.
North Group
Every match in the North Group carries significance on Sunday. Derbyshire lead the way in the table and they play host to Lancashire at Derby looking to keep themselves at the top while Worcestershire in second see Northamptonshire visit. Warwickshire host Leicestershire in a big match for the home side at Edgbaston while the other match in the group has Nottinghamshire heading to Durham in a must win match for the visitors.
South Group
The leaders of the South Group, Hampshire, head to Swansea to take on a Glamorgan side who are already out of qualification contention but who have already spoiled Sussex’s party and will be looking to do the same to Hampshire. Kent are second and they host Gloucestershire at Beckenham while Middlesex take on Surrey in the London derby at Lord’s. Sussex welcome qualification chasing Essex to Eastbourne.

Betting
I’ll go with a bet in each group on Sunday. In the North Group I’m going to load up on Derbyshire again. They won for me on Friday and never really was it in any doubt and now they take on a Lancashire side who still only have wins over Leicestershire and Durham in this stage. Neither of those are much cop so I’m not sure how much we can read into that. We know Lancashire will be without Keaton Jennings while Jos Buttler and Jimmy Anderson are away too. Derbyshire are in decent form in this competition and at odds against I think they can follow up their win in Northampton. They have been very good with the bat this season and that Fisher blitz aside they have bowled well too. I fancy them here.
After their poor defeat to Glamorgan last time out, Sussex are probably out of the qualifying shake up now but Essex aren’t and I fancy the Eagles can strengthen their chances when they head to Eastbourne on Sunday. Chris Jordan and Jofra Archer made little impression against Glamorgan and Ishant Sharma has been ruled out of this one so Sussex might be a little light with the ball. Essex are in decent form with the bat and they have enough about them with the ball to get the job done here.
