2019-20 Premier League – Saturday 11th July Matches Tips, TV and Betting Preview

There are four rounds of matches left in the Premier League season and the first of those begins on a bumper day of action on Saturday, one which includes four different kick off times as events all over the table are under the microscope.

As with all the games since the restart, all these five matches are live on TV in the UK and with only two of them clashing at any time throughout the day, there is no massive reason to miss any of what could be a compelling day.

Saturday’s fixtures are as follows: (UK kick off and TV in brackets)

Norwich City v West Ham United (12.30 – BT Sport 1)

Watford v Newcastle United (12.30 – Amazon Prime Video)

Liverpool v Burnley (15.00 – BT Sport 1)

Sheffield United v Chelsea (17.30 – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)

Brighton & Hove Albion v Manchester City (20.00 – Sky Main Event, Sky Premier League, Sky One & Pick)

Preview

The action begins with two matches in the first kick off slot and it is the one which focuses on the bottom of the table. Norwich City host West Ham United at Carrow Road with the home side knowing they will be relegated if they don’t win the match. A win for the Hammers would give them every chance of staying in the division this season. At Vicarage Road, Watford will be looking to do their survival hopes the world of good when they host Newcastle United in a game the hosts could really do with winning.

The top end of the table then gets centre attention for the rest of the day and the exciting race for the European spots. The new champions Liverpool host a Burnley side who are surging towards the end of the season before Sheffield United play host to Chelsea. The final match of the day comes from the Amex Stadium where Brighton and Hove Albion meet the FA Cup semi-finalists Manchester City in what looks like an appealing way to finish off the huge day of action.

Betting

I’ll go with a couple of bets in this division as well with the first of those at Vicarage Road where Watford look incredibly short. Their only win since lockdown has been against Norwich in midweek and they needed a worldie overhead kick to come out on top in that one and Norwich gave up in this division months ago. Newcastle United got their bottoms smacked in midweek when they lost 5-0 at Manchester City but they weren’t the first team to suffer that fate and I very much doubt they will be the last either. Prior to that though Newcastle were in decent nick and they have already thrashed a pathetic Bournemouth side since the restart. Watford aren’t a great deal better so the fact we can get a +0.75 Asian line on the visitors at 4/5 is just too good to ignore.

The other bet I like comes in the final match of the day where I’m expecting to see a few goals between Brighton and Hove Albion and Manchester City where all eyes will be on the visitors to see if they can avoid a fourth straight away defeat and a fifth one in six. You would think Brighton are made for them and they certainly will be if they play the way they did against Liverpool in midweek. City have taken matches seriously since the restart and that doesn’t need to change here. Essentially we have two sides who have nothing to lose here who can go out and entertain and I think that can lead to plenty of goals. City have won the last two league meetings 4-0 and 4-1. I expect more than three goals here.
