2019-20 Premier League – Saturday 15th February Matches Tips and Betting Preview

The Premier League began with a drab if not controversial match at Molineux on Friday night so all followers of the division will be hoping that the two matches that take place on Saturday offer much more entertainment.

We have the leaders and the team propping up the table in action on Saturday as well as a couple of sides who should be looking up after a prolonged period of keeping an eye over their shoulders in recent times.

Southampton vs Burnley (12.30)

The first match of what is a quiet Saturday in the Premier League sees Southampton hosting Burnley in a clash in which the winner is going to end the day in the top half of the table, which is a decent enough incentive for both.

I’ve liked what I’ve seen from Southampton in recent times and their performances have actually been better than their results have suggested but they are still very ordinary in terms of outcomes at home and while their displays are better, ultimately when it comes to betting we couldn’t care less about that, we want results. Burnley are a tough side to beat at the best of time and I’m extremely tempted to take them on the handicaps but I do respect how well Southampton are playing to leave this one alone.

Norwich City vs Liverpool (17.30)

We conclude the day with a clash between the side who are bottom of the table and the ones scorching away with things at the top of it as Norwich City host Liverpool at Carrow Road. These two sides opened up the campaign and have another high profile encounter here.

Norwich are much more comfortable at home, and like Southampton before them, their performances are actually better than their results have suggested but you’ve got to think Liverpool will win this one. Only Man Utd have taken points off the champions in waiting this term so it is asking a lot for Norwich to do likewise here, but I am slightly wary that the Reds are in Champions League action in midweek.

That might mean Liverpool rotate their squad or pull some key men if they go in front so rather than back them to cover a big cap I’ll take over three goals here. Matches between these two are generally high scoring. The last time they met at Carrow Road the Reds won 5-4. I don’t expect a 5-4 here but a 3-1 or something wouldn’t be out of the question. Whichever combination the goals come in I think we’ll see at least three for a refund but most likely four or more.
