Preview

The main match in terms of the TV offerings on Wednesday night is the clash from Kenilworth Road where Luton Town will look to build on their fine win at the weekend when they host a Millwall side who aren’t in great touch. The other big match on the night comes from The Valley where Swansea City will be looking to make it back to the top of the table when they take on a Charlton Athletic side who will be hoping to back up their win against Leeds at the weekend.

Elsewhere Barnsley will be looking to get their season up and running having not won since the opening day of the campaign. They host Derby County while Brentford will look to build on their win over the Tykes at the weekend when they welcome a Bristol City who haven’t lost since the first week of the season. The other match sees Cardiff City playing host to in form QPR who will be looking to overcome their defeat at the weekend.

Betting

I’m tempted by a couple as always in these matches but in the end I’ll go with just the one bet which comes in the main game on the TV on Wednesday between Luton Town and Millwall at Kenilworth Road. Goals has largely been a feature of matches involving Luton this season and I’m not convinced anything is going to change in that regard here.

Only one Luton match this season has had less than 2.5 goals in it while Millwall haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last six but have scored in four of their last five. This is one of those matches which both sides will feel it is one that they can target in terms of one they can win and that often leads to an open match. I like over 2.5 goals here.
