2019 Royal London One Day Cup – Thursday 25th April Matches Betting Preview

The Royal London One Day Cup continues on Thursday with just the two matches in the competition as the South Group gets the spotlight on the quietest day in the tournament thus far. It may be quiet but no less important.

There is the big match in the South Group on Thursday as the two London clubs battle it out for two valuable points while two winless sides make up the other fixture. There is a live stream of the main game which helps with betting.

Surrey vs Middlesex

The big match of the day is a huge one for the home side who only have one win from their opening two matches. That did come in the last match for Surrey though so they have something to build on here. Middlesex have two wins from their first three games and another win here would give them a good platform to build on.

Surrey have plenty of injuries heading into this match. They were missing a few anyway but Jason Roy, Ollie Pope and Rikki Clarke have been added to their injury list which is less than ideal. That means that trio, both Curran brothers, Jade Dernbach and Scott Borthwick are all missing. Middlesex don’t have any of them worries. Ross Taylor has arrived to join up with them and so they are at full strength as they head across the river.

I’m with Middlesex here. I haven’t been especially impressed with Surrey in this competition yet and there is no escaping the fact that their injuries are not good. They will be missing their second highest run scorer here and a key all-rounder. Middlesex have only lost to Hampshire in this competition so far and there is no shame in that. I think they win here.

Glamorgan vs Kent

Two sides yet to register a win in the competition go drinking in the Last Chance Saloon on Thursday when Glamorgan host Kent. With four defeats already, the beaten finalists of last year in Kent are probably out of the tournament already in fairness.

It is fair to say that neither of these sides are playing good cricket at the minute. Kent do have the excuse of all the players they are missing but even then they haven’t performed to the best of the ability of the players that are there. Glamorgan have shown nothing to get behind in this tournament either though so the best way to play this one is to not play it at all.
