2019 Royal London One Day Cup – Tuesday 30th April Matches Betting Preview

The Royal London One Day Cup moves into the final week or so of group matches on Tuesday when five more encounters take place over the two groups as we get closer to determining the six sides who will move into the knockout stages of the 50 over competition.

Sadly there is no more TV coverage of this competition until next week but a number of the counties do have a live stream running which will mean that we can at least keep up to date with the action in a modern fashion.

New customers, bet €/£20 on the Exchange and if your first bet loses, we’ll refund you €/£20 in Cash. Bet must be placed in first 7 days of account opening. T&Cs apply. 18+|Gamble Aware.

North Group

There are two matches in the North Group on Tuesday with the big one coming from one of the outgrounds as second placed Durham host third placed Lancashire out at Gosforth in a match both know the reward for winning. The other match sees Derbyshire playing host to Warwickshire in a match infinitely more important for the hosts than it is the visitors who already have no chance of progressing.

South Group

The defending champions Hampshire will be looking to bounce back from a huge defeat at Essex last time out when they take on Surrey at the Kia Oval in the pick of the three matches in the South Group on Tuesday. Sussex moved up to third over the weekend when they took care of Middlesex and they head to Essex looking to join the leaders on four wins from five matches while the other match sees Gloucestershire hosting Glamorgan down in Bristol.

Betting

There is only the one bet that interests me on Tuesday and it comes from Chelmsford where I’m expecting Essex to build on their win over Hampshire. They are getting some big players back now so that shambles they delivered at Taunton can be a thing of the past from here on in. Matt Coles took four wickets on his return against his former side on Sunday while Varun Chopra, who has two tons in two knocks in this competition this season, returns here.

Sussex overwhelmed Middlesex last time out but they were indebted to a wonder knock from Luke Wright, the sort you don’t see every day of the week, and if Essex can control the Sussex openers and dispose of them early there isn’t a huge amount to come in their batting line up at the minute. Essex have players with the technical qualities to blunt Mir Hamza and from there they should be able to go on and win this one.
