2020-21 CSA T20 Challenge – Friday 19th February Matches Tips and Betting Preview

The opening day of the CSA T20 Challenge sees two matches being played as the tournament gets underway in Durban. That means there will be four sides on show who will all be looking to start their campaign off on a winning foot.

Each team in this competition only plays five regular league games so each one matters which should make for a competitive day of action, one which can be seen in its entirety on Free Sports in the UK.

Titans vs Knights

The opening match of the tournament sees the outright favourites Titans taking on the Knights in what is expected to be one-way traffic in their favour with the Knights having a pretty ordinary recent record in the competition.

The Knights never really got going in the 50 over competition but the same can be said of the Titans so from that point of view there isn’t a whole lot of form to go on which is something of a concern here. I think looking through the squads it would be wrong to think the Titans won’t win this match but they are 4/7 to win it and given the many unknowns of a first game in a different competition I’m not really interested in taking a price like that.

Dolphins vs Cape Cobras

The second match of the day sees the home team Dolphins taking on the Cape Cobras in a match between two of the expected better sides in the competition, both of whom will be looking to lay something of a marker down here.

Dolphins had a wonderful campaign in the 50 over competition winning both their completed matches whereas the Cobras won a couple of games and lost a couple and never made it through to the final. It is the Dolphins that I like here. I think in David Miller in particular they have an X-Factor which could be the difference between winning this one and losing if he gets going. The Dolphins have the better bowling attack of the two on show here as well so when you throw that all in with the home advantage I think the 4/5 on a Dolphins win is the way to go against a Cobras side who look a little light with the bat and not as strong with the ball.
