2020-21 Premier League – Friday 6th November Matches Tips, TV and Betting Preview

The last weekend of Premier League action before the next international break begins on Friday night when two matches take place on an evening where four of the lesser lights of the division take centre stage.

Once again both the matches will be live on TV for us in the UK although we have to wait until after the international break for the PPV nonsense to end so one of these matches will cost £14.95 to watch sadly.

Brighton and Hove Albion vs Burnley (17.30 – Sky Sports Box Office)

The opening match of the two on Friday night sees two teams in the bottom five meeting as Brighton and Hove Albion take on Burnley for what would be three pretty valuable points heading into the international break.

These two sides have played 13 matches in the league this season and between them they have won one game – Brighton’s win at Newcastle on the second weekend of the campaign. To be fair to both teams they have been competitive in most of their matches without getting their noses in front. Given that they could both do with a win here you would think this would be a tight and nervy affair with no quarter given. That might bring the draw into play but either way I’m not rushing to get involved in this one.

Southampton vs Newcastle United (20.00 – Sky Main Event & Sky Premier League)

The second match of the two is the big one of the evening as two sides well away from the action at the bottom of the table meet at St Mary’s Stadium when Southampton host Newcastle United in a match which could see the home side go top of the table for a few hours with a win.

Southampton are going very well at the minute and have taken 13 points from the last 15 available to them however they have lost Danny Ings and there is no getting away from the fact that is a huge loss for them. He scores a large percentage of their goals so it will be interesting to see how they cope without him. Newcastle are putting up a much more competitive season this term and are undefeated on their travels which will give them some confidence heading into this game.

Southampton have won their last two matches at home but traditionally in recent times they are not a good team on their own patch. Those two wins were against a West Brom side who might be out of their depth and a depleted Everton team so they might be flattered a little here. Newcastle are probably going to be better on the road than at home side this season and don’t have too many key absences. I think the Magpies can leave Hampshire with some sort of result in this one.
