Preview

The action gets underway in London where a struggling Fulham side host an Everton team who spent the early stages of the season on top of the table but who have lost their way a little more recently. They will be looking to get back on track here. The attention then switches to Bramall Lane where Sheffield United will go in search of a first win of the campaign when they host a West Ham United team who have made a decent enough start to the season and will be looking to build on that here.

The pick of the matches are very much the last two from an entertaining and flowing football point of view. Two sides who like to play the right way meet at Elland Road when Leeds United look to end a two-match losing streak when they host an Arsenal team who have lost three of their last four matches in the league. The day then concludes with the leaders going into the weekend heading to face the champions when Liverpool entertain a Leicester City side who could really lay down a title marker in what should be a great end to the action at Anfield.

Betting

I’ll go with a couple of away sides over the course of the day on Sunday. The first of those is in the opening match where Everton should be a lot shorter to beat Fulham than they actually are. The Toffees lost their last three matches before the international break but I don’t think it is any surprise that those were the three that Richarlison missed after his red card in the Merseyside derby. Prior to that they were on fire but the Brazilian returns here and he, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and James Rodriguez should have too much for Fulham. Fulham are outside the bottom three at the minute but their only points this season have come against two of the three teams below them in the table which isn’t saying much. Arsenal and Aston Villa have both left Craven Cottage with a comfortable win this season and Crystal Palace have won there too. I expect Everton to be adding their name to the list.

The extended injury list that Liverpool currently have is no secret but they are still odds on to beat Leicester City and I’m not so sure that should be the case. I respect Liverpool’s home record which actually doesn’t get the coverage or the leverage that it deserves but they are without two of their most important players here in Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah and even Joe Gomez is a pretty big loss given the shortage of central defenders that they have. Liverpool wouldn’t have been a certainty to beat Leicester with everyone fit so they certainly aren’t now that the Foxes have had a couple of weeks to get players back to fitness and will be even stronger. When you consider they have already been to Man City, Arsenal and Leeds and won the challenge is clearly there for Liverpool. I’m not suggest Leicester will definitely win but the Asian lines are a little too strong in their favour here. Liverpool have to be taken on.
