August 2016 Stats & Review

August was a busy month for us on the site with the Olympics dominating proceedings. August also saw the start of the English football season and the last Grand Tour cycling race of the season – La Vuelta. That was all mixed in with our regular sports. Here are the final figures for the month of August.

On paper this looks like a terrible month and certainly we don’t like months like this but actually this was a month where the stats were distorted by a number of near misses. There were no fewer than 11 Olympic bets which lost by a tenth of a second or less and we had three outright bets in the Olympics which lost the game before securing a payout so had those bets gone our way then we would have record another excellent month. Those are the fine margins we need to make sure are in our favour more often than not but at least there isn’t another Olympics until 2020!

One bright point from the month was that we’ve started the football season well and with the NFL kicking off in September, something our expertise is strong in, we’re confident we’ll be churning out months of profit for the rest of the year.
