Baltic Sea Darts Open 2025 – Last 16 Tips and Betting Preview

It is the final day of the Baltic Sea Darts Open on Sunday with the competition playing down from the last 16 stage to the moment when the champion is decided on a day where there are plenty in with a big chance of going all the way in Kiel.

It is a typical Sunday on the European Tour where time restrictions will deny us the chance to preview the evening session but hopefully our outright bet can make it through and give us some interest in it. We can preview the last 16 in the afternoon though.

First Four Matches

We get underway with the world number one Luke Humphries looking to make it through to the quarter finals when he takes on Ryan Searle in a decent starter to the day. Humphries had to survive a deciding leg on Saturday and will hope for a smoother passage on Sunday. When they are done Gerwyn Price will look to continue his winning run on the stage when he takes on Wessel Nijman before two former UK Open champions meet when Nathan Aspinall faces Danny Noppert. We reach the halfway point of the afternoon with Chris Dobey facing Ross Smith in another appealing clash.

Later Four Matches

Two home players move us into the second half of the afternoon when the bright young prospect Niko Springer meets the German number one Martin Schindler. The two World Cup winning players are on stage in the next two matches. Daryl Gurney takes on James Wade before Josh Rock goes up against Jonny Clayton in what is the standout match in the afternoon session. We conclude the first half of the Sunday action with a clash between Gary Anderson and the former Lakeside world champion Andy Baetens.

Betting

Daryl Gurney did me a good turn on Saturday but I think he might meet his match with James Wade on Sunday. While Gurney is full of confidence after winning the World Cup, Wade carries solo form into the tournament having won a Players Championship event last month. Wade is one of those players who doesn’t care much for averages so when he has a run of seven 100+ averages in seven Players Championship events, which he currently has, then you have to stop and take notice.

Wade was extremely efficient in beating Luke Woodhouse 6-1 on Saturday. Woodhouse didn’t do much wrong but the scoring of Wade was sustained, if not as heavy as he might have wanted, and his finishing was on song as we have come to expect. Gurney was good in the moments he needed to be in beating a Dave Chisnall, who in truth was worryingly not at the races, but there were times where he went a little flat and he won’t be able to do that here. Wade is consistent and he’s in good form and I expect him to win this one.

Tips

Back J.Wade to beat D.Gurney for a 3/10 stake at 1.91 with William Hill
