Barclays Premier League – Sunday 1st November Betting Preview

The Premier League weekend continues on Sunday as Sky’s weekly Super Sunday show has two matches which should provide developments at the bottom end of the table.

The day begins at Goodison Park where Everton welcome struggling Sunderland. Everton have taken a couple of heavy beatings in their last two matches while Sunderland will head to Merseyside buzzing from their win over Newcastle last weekend.

You would expect Everton to come through this without too much trouble but they do have times where they can struggle to break parked buses down. If they show the necessary patience they will be confident they can win that match.

It will be interesting to see how Big Sam sets his side up in this match. The only goal Sunderland have conceded since he took charge was a foul on the keeper at West Brom so he has immediately tightened up a leaky defence.

If I was going to bet on the match it would probably be on a low scoring match but there are too many question marks over Everton at the minute so I’m happier swerving the game completely.

The other match on Sunday is a Solent derby between Southampton and Bournemouth at St Mary’s and I have to say I really like the home side in this one.

Southampton are unbeaten in their last six matches and have wins over Chelsea and Swansea in that time. They are scoring goals again with Graziano Pelle in excellent form and by and large they are defending better too apart from a freaky spell against Leicester.

Bournemouth are without a win in their last six matches and in the Premier League they have taken a couple of heavy beatings in their last two matches. They are leaking goals like a sieve and haven’t scored more than one in a game in their last five which is far from ideal.

With Sadio Mane having served his suspension in the Capital One Cup in midweek Southampton have all their usual attacking options available and I expect them to come through this quite comfortably.

Back Southampton (-1AH) to beat Bournemouth for a 4/10 stake at 1.95 with Bet365
