Euro 2020 Qualifying – Tuesday 11th June Matches Betting Preview

The last day of qualifying action for Euro 2020 of the season takes place on Tuesday night when the five groups who did not play on Monday evening so do to round off what has been a much better year of international football than many expected.

We saw the likes of Spain, Serbia and Denmark in action on Monday and on Tuesday some genuine big guns come out to play when Germany, France, Belgium and Italy take to the pitch across Europe for some big matches.

Group C

There are just two matches in this group with the UEFA Nations League finalists Netherlands sitting out watching. The big one sees Germany looking to pick up another win when they host Estonia while Northern Ireland will go to Belarus for the second match of the week which they know that defeat is not an option for them. They got away with it in Estonia on Saturday and will need to be much more convincing here.

Group E

There are only two matches in Group E on Tuesday evening too with one of those coming in an earlier kick off to the majority of matches. That sees Azerbaijan taking on Slovakia but from a British point of view all eyes will be on the other game. That is where Hungary host Wales who really could go with a win after slipping up in Croatia on Saturday. Hungary are in decent form though so that isn’t going to be easy by any means.

Group H

We have three matches in Group H on Tuesday night with the world champions France looking to bounce back from a terrible performance against Turkey on Saturday. They take on Andorra in a match they are going to win it is just about how good they look doing it. The big match in this group now is Iceland against Turkey. Both sides had good wins on Saturday and another here would make for a very solid week. Albania host Moldova in the other match.

Group I

We have three more matches in this group and this is where Scotland will look to continue their hopes of reaching a major finals again when they face the daunting trip to Belgium in a match where any kind of result would be a positive. Russia are in decent touch in this group and after a 9-0 win over San Marino on Saturday they will be expected to put Cyprus to the sword while Kazakhstan take on San Marino looking for another big home win.

Group J

One match absolutely jumps out at us among the three on show in Group J on Tuesday evening. That is the one which sees Italy playing host to Bosnia-Herzegovina while one of the early pacesetters, Finland, will be expected to pick up maximum points when they take on Liechtenstein. The other match is a big one for Greece. They go up against Armenia in a match they can’t afford to lose if they are going to have any chance of progressing.

Betting

I like a couple of bets over the course of the day with the first one coming from Kazakhstan where San Marino are highly likely to be put to the sword once again. They were rotten against Russia and history tells us that they struggle even more in their second match in short succession. To be fair Kazakhstan were given the run around by Belgium on Saturday but that would have been expected. They now have a perfectly winnable match. They have already taken care of Scotland on home soil and I expect them to take Sam Marino to the cleaners. I don’t think a 3.25 goal handicap is enough here so I’m with Kazakhstan in this one.

There aren’t many sides playing better in Europe right now than Russia. They have really kicked into life since the World Cup and were on easy street against San Marino on Saturday. Things won’t be quite that easy against Cyprus on Tuesday evening but I do still expect them to win with a fair bit in hand. The handicap for this match is 1.75 goal and that doesn’t look nearly enough given that Fedor Smolov and Artem Dyzuba both filled their boots against San Marino to gain confidence. Cyprus were beaten by a poor Scotland side on Saturday and I expect them to go down here too.
