After two incredibly entertaining semi-finals in the UEFA Nations League, the attention switches to the qualifying competition for the FIFA World Cup on Friday when six matches take place across Europe on a key night for some sides.
Three groups are in action over the course of the evening with some terrestrial action for us to enjoy as well as one or two matches being shown live on YouTube as well so there is no need to miss any of the action.
Friday’s fixtures are as follows: (All 19.45, UK TV in brackets)
Czech Republic vs Montenegro
Estonia vs Israel
Gibraltar vs Croatia
North Macedonia vs Belgium
Norway vs Italy (Amazon Prime Video PPV)

Preview
The standout match of the six on the night takes us to Oslo for the clash between the early Group I leaders Norway and an Italy side who begin their qualifying campaign here after missing the opening rounds of matches to compete in the Nations League quarter finals. Croatia are another side who start out their qualifying competition when they travel to Gibraltar for what should be an easy win for the 2018 finalists. Belgium are the other nation of note on show on Friday evening. They also start up their quest to make it to USA, Canada and Mexico against the leaders of their group when they go to North Macedonia in Group J.
It is a huge night for Craig Bellamy and his Wales side. They entertain the minnows of Liechtenstein knowing that there can’t be any slip ups and their minds must be on the job and not the upcoming clash with Belgium. Estonia and Israel both have a win in their opening two matches and one of the pair will go onto two wins from three if there is a victor when they meet in Tallinn while in the other match on the night the two sides currently blazing a trail in Group L collide when the Czech Republic host Montenegro with both sides on six points from two matches after wins over Faroe Islands and Gibraltar.
Betting
There isn’t a huge amount to go at over the course of the evening but there are two player bets which interest me with the first of those being in the form of Destiny Udogie to commit two or more fouls. He has played in three competitive matches for Italy and he has given away two or more fouls in each of them so that bodes well and there is a dynamic Norway attack which is going to need some repelling in this match. With two wins under their belt you would imagine that Norway will have a go here and look to pin the Italy full-backs back which certainly opens up the potential for fouls. Udogie averaged 1.35 fouls per match in the Premier League this term and committed two fouls in the Europa League final. He looks overpriced at 2.30 for two more fouls here.
The other bet I like comes in the Wales match where Harry Wilson looks overpriced to score against Liechtenstein at even money. Wilson is very much an attacking threat who can let fly from distance which is probably no bad thing against a defence which is going to be sat deep and not really looking to engage. Wilson will most probably be on the set plays for Wales in this match and being able to come inside and pick up positions between the lines like Craig Bellamy likes his floating eights to do, Wilson should get enough opportunities to let fly and find the back of the net in what should be a comfortable home win.
Tips
Back D.Udogie – 2 or more fouls committed for a 3/10 stake at 2.30 with Paddy Power
Back H.Wilson to score anytime for Wales for a 3/10 stake at 2.00 with Sky Bet
