FIFA World Cup 2026 European Qualifiers – Tuesday 14th October Matches Tips and Betting Preview

The last set of European Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup 2026 competition for this international break take place on Tuesday evening when the groups that were in action on Saturday are back on show to round off the latest action.

Four groups are in action on Tuesday evening with the likes of England, Portugal and Spain headlining the card but it is a big night for so many other nations as we get closer to determining who will qualify for the World Cup.

Group E

Spain are already in complete control of their destiny in Group E and they will look to edge closer to securing their qualification on Tuesday evening when they play host to the weakest team in the group Bulgaria who have to get over being thrashed last time out. The other match is massive in terms of who will finish second when Turkey, buoyed by their thrashing of Bulgaria at the weekend, play host to Georgia who need to win else second spot will be slipping away from them.

Group F

The Nations League winners Portugal are fully in control of their own destiny and they could wrap up their qualification for the main event on Tuesday night. They host second placed Hungary knowing that a win in that match combined with the right result in the other game will see them through with the minimum of fuss. Hungary need to win to keep hold of second place. The other match is significant through. Republic of Ireland begin the night bottom of the table but a win when they host Armenia could see them finishing the night in second spot should Hungary lose. Armenia will also go second with a win and a Hungary loss but if Portugal win then anything other than an Armenia win will secure their qualification.

Group I

It is in Group I where the action gets underway on Tuesday evening as the two minnows who are bottom of the group collide in the first game when Estonia play host to Moldova in a match which isn’t going to have much significance on anything but the other match in the group certainly will as Italy host Israel. Italy could set up a tasty clash with Norway next month if they win the game but Israel will put the cat among the pigeons if they win and after the reverse meeting ended 5-4 to Italy hopefully there will be no shortage of incident when they meet.

Group K

The other group that is on show on Tuesday evening is Group K where the equation is pretty simple for England. They go to Latvia knowing that if they win the match then they will have their automatic qualification for the finals confirmed. Latvia are playing purely for position in that match. The other game is important as well. Serbia go to Andorra knowing that a win will have them a point behind Albania who are second going into the final set of matches next month.

Betting

There were a few bets that I was going to consider over the course of the night but there is one which jumps off the page and that is over 3 goals between Turkey and Georgia. You’ll do well to find a Turkey game which isn’t full of goals and the way this one is set up it would be extremely surprising if this one doesn’t follow the trend because simply there is no future in the group for Georgia if they are beaten in this game and in truth a draw doesn’t really do them any favours either.

Georgia were pretty clever in their defeat to Spain at the weekend. Once the game was done they got some key players off the pitch to save them for this one and when you look at the last 15 months or so these two met at Euro 2024 and Turkey won 3-1 and they won the reverse meeting between these two 3-2 last month so goals are naturally doing the rounds between the pair. Factor in that Georgia need to win and Turkey have scored six and conceded seven in their last two matches and this line doesn’t look nearly high enough.
