Horse Racing – Beverley Wednesday 17th June Tips and Betting Preview

Once again it is not all about Royal Ascot on Wednesday as there are other cards taking place in the UK and over in Ireland. Although most of the attention of the racing world will be on the Berkshire track, we are not confining ourselves to just betting there.

They also run at Beverley and Chelmsford City in the UK while Gowran Park and Limerick stage the action over in Ireland. We’ve had an in depth look at all the cards and we’ve come up with one good looking bet at Beverley

3.10 Beverley

Preview

The race has been turned on its head now that Mythical Madness, who was a 2/1 shot, has been declared a non runner.  It leaves 11 runners for this Class 4 handicap over a mile and half a furlong.

The market has been blown wide open with Silver Dust and Keepup Kevin the ones now prominent in the betting.  The former is better on the all weather and looks to be on a stiff mark whilst the latter goes well fresh & likes the track but, on past runs, our selection has the beating of him.

Betting

The selection is the veteran Twin Appeal from the yard of Karen Tutty.  In his long career, he’s raced mainly over 7 furlongs but quite often finishes off strongly & this step up in trip has been a long time coming.  He has run well at this trip before &, on breeding, there are no issues.

Since moving to the Tutty yard, he’s won 3 & 2 of those have come here.  In fact, his form at Beverley reads 1st off 74, 4th off 73, 1st off 72, 2nd off 75 and 5th off 80.  He gets in here off 76 so he must surely go well in this weak race.   Add to that he’s very well suited by conditions, with both of his wins last term coming on good to firm.

The yard has had a winner from 3 runners since racing returned and, now back to his last winning mark, on his favourite track & with ground in his favour, he looks to hold very sound claims.

Tips

Back Twin Appeal (e/w) for a 1/10 stake at 8.00 William Hill BOG (1/5 odds 1-4)
