Big Matches

The big match of the night comes in the Eastern Conference where it is third against second as New York City FC take on Chicago Fire in one of the live matches on Sky. Both Conference leaders are in action on Saturday evening too as Toronto FC host Colorado Rapids while West leaders Sporting Kansas City head to Real Salt Lake.

Best of the Rest

Minnesota United take on New York Red Bulls in the second TV match in the UK while FC Dallas will go top of the table for a couple of hours if they can win at Montreal Impact. New England Revolution and Los Angeles Galaxy meet while two strugglers in the East do battle as Columbus Crew take on Philadelphia Union. The other match sees DC United facing Houston Dynamo.

Betting

There is a temptation to get really stuck into these matches especially with three of them being live but a number of sides played in midweek and others have men on international duty so I am going to err on the side of caution and take just one.

Columbus Crew are a pretty effective outfit at home these days and they had the luxury of not playing in midweek. Philadelphia Union went to Montreal and lost and now they have to play in Ohio three days later which is a testing schedule. What is worse is the Union are without star keeper Andre Blake who remains with Jamaica and that could be significant. Philadelphia are poor travellers at the best of times and I don’t see why that will improve here so I’m with the Crew in this one.

Tips

HALF WON – Back Columbus Crew (-0.75AH) to beat Philadelphia Union for a 4/10 stake at 1.82 with BetVictor
