MLS 2017 – Sunday 21st May Matches Betting Preview

The MLS weekend concludes on Sunday night with three more matches of which the latter two are live on TV in the UK on what should be another good night of action in a league which is fast becoming a must watch spectacle.

Some of the biggest names in Major League Soccer are in action on Sunday night so we should have plenty of quality to enjoy. We’ll preview the matches in kick off order.

New England Revolution vs Columbus Crew

This all-Eastern Conference clash gets us underway as a surprisingly lowly ranked New England Revolution play host to a Columbus Crew who have made a good start to the season. The Crew will move up to second for a few hours at least with a win.

It won’t be easy for Columbus to pick up the three points here as while New England are lower than expected they have been good on their own patch this season and will fancy their chances here. I think this is a fairly even match but there isn’t enough in the prices to take either and at three goals the goal line is just a shade too high for me to get involved in the match.

Minnesota United vs Los Angeles Galaxy

Two sides in the lower reaches of the Western Conference meet in the second match of the night when Minnesota United host Los Angeles Galaxy. Seventh spot in the table awaits for the winners of this one and whoever wins will be eyeing up the playoffs.

I think we are in for an entertaining match here. Minnesota tend to play an attacking game at home while Los Angeles have suddenly found their mojo and looked really good in victory last weekend. If they can replicate that they will be massive dangers but with the attacking talent that is on both sides I fancy we’ll get quite a few goals here.

Orlando City vs New York City

Arguably the most intriguing match of the night is the final one between two sides who have enjoyed good starts to the season and who in Kaka and David Villa boast two of the best players in Major League Soccer.

Orlando have been very tight this season and that has formed the foundations for a good start in their new home while New York City have a decent record on the road and don’t fear anybody so this is set up to be a decent match. I have to say there looks like being plenty of draw potential in this one and if there is a winner I think it will be a narrow victory. I’m not expecting the goals to flow either so rather than bet I’ll sit and watch what can be two very good sides battle against each other.
