Big Matches

The champions Toronto FC are back in action on Saturday evening having had last weekend off. They were in Champions League action in midweek and now head to Montreal Impact in one of the live matches for those of us in the UK. The other live game comes from Mercedes-Benz Stadium where Atlanta United host the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Best of the Rest

DC United play at home for the first time this season when they welcome Houston Dynamo who are on the road for the first time. Minnesota United and Chicago Fire do battle while there is a tasty looking clash in the Western Conference between Sporting Kansas City and San Jose Earthquakes. In the Eastern Conference, New York City host Orlando City in this week’s live Twitter streamed match. Phialdelphia Union play Columbus Crew and Real Salt Lake host New York Red Bulls in the other two matches.

Betting

I’m going to go with one bet on this card. It looks a tricky card in fairness with sides either at home or on the road for the first time and with teams having missed last week and others not. I’m still perfect for the season in MLS so I’ve earned enough to not have to push the boat out.

The bet is becoming quite an obvious one but whenever there is an over 3 goals line on an Atlanta United home match I find it hard to resist and that is the case on Saturday when they host a Vancouver Whitecaps outfit who could be perfectly set up to counter attack them to their hearts content. Vancouver beat Houston last week but Houston opened them up at will and you’ve got to think Atlanta will do that and some here. There is a more vulnerable look to the five stripes at the back this season though and with Kei Kamara a focal point of the attack the Whitecaps should be able to expose that backline of the home side. Over 3 goals looks to have every chance of being covered here.
