The MLS weekend concludes with two final matches on Sunday evening. We’ve already seen some great action and a number of the leading sides picking up points so far this weekend and on Sunday we’ll see four more good sides in action.
Both the matches are on TV in the UK so we can crack open a few tins and stick our feet up and watch some top American action in the late evening, through the night and into the early hours of the morning.
Seattle Sounders vs New York City FC (22.00)
The opening match of the night comes from CenturyLink Field as the former champions Seattle Sounders host a side who are very much in the mix to become the MLS winners this season in New York City FC.
Seattle are in the middle of a really poor campaign but they are at least unbeaten in their last five matches and appear to be making something of a late charge towards the playoffs. New York City are right in the mix in the Eastern Conference and will move to within a point of Atlanta at the top should they win this game.
I wouldn’t like to call this one in all honesty. New York City are looking really good at the minute and are not conceding many goals but Seattle have suddenly hit a bit of form themselves so I’m happy enough to sit and watch this without a bet.

Los Angeles Galaxy vs Orlando City (02.30)
The second match of the night comes from the Stubhub Center as the Los Angeles Galaxy look to continue their good form against an Orlando City side who are in wretched form and are looking to turn that around.
We saw both these sides in action on Thursday evening so the schedule could have been kinder to the pair of them. You would expect form to ring true here in which case the Galaxy should be really good things but after a fairly short turnaround from an intense derby draw I’m not a massive fan of taking them on a -1.5 handicap.
One bet I prefer is for over 3.25 goals in this contest. We’ve all seen how leaky Orlando have been this season and Los Angeles are in great form in front of goal at the minute but you can get at this Galaxy defence and Orlando are going to be forced to attack at some point. This one has all the ingredients to be high scoring.
