Big Matches

There are three matches for those of us who are in the UK to enjoy on TV. They begin with the first match of the night as the Chicago Fire play host to the New York Red Bulls in an Eastern Conference clash. It is the Eastern Conference in focus for the second of the TV games as Columbus Crew take on the defending champions Atlanta United with the other match on the box seeing the San Jose Earthquakes going up against Los Angeles FC in a Western Conference showdown.

Best of the Rest

There are a number of cross-Conference clashes in the division on Saturday with the New England Revolution hosting the Minnesota United side while Sporting Kansas City take on Montreal Impact. The first Cascadia Cup clash concludes the action as the Vancouver Whitecaps take on Seattle Sounders while Colorado Rapids take on the Houston Dynamo. There is also an Eastern Conference clash between FC Cincinnati and the Philadelphia Union.

Betting

I’m not convinced that this is the easiest card in the world and as such I’m going to stick with just the one bet. To be fair this league isn’t always easy to bet on after an international break so I’ll play slightly safe and go with just the one punt.

I like Minnesota United in their match away to New England Revolution. I’ve been keen on Minnesota all season and although they let me down in Los Angeles prior to the international break, it transpired that their coach was missing due to illness so I’m happy to give them another go. New England Revolution do nothing to convince me and look to lack a creative spark and an attacking presence. Minny are used to being on the road and I think they avoid defeat here.
