Preview

The televised match comes from the second of the Eastern Conference clashes as the top two from last season meet at Red Bull Arena when the New York Red Bulls host the champions Atlanta United in a match between two sides who are suddenly showing some form after poor starts to the campaign. Earlier Orlando City will face FC Cincinnati in another clash from the Eastern Conference.

The two later matches both come from the Western Conference. The first of those see FC Dallas taking on the leaders Los Angeles FC for the second time in three days while LA Galaxy will have to do without Zlatan Ibrahimovic when they host the Colorado Rapids in a match they know they have to win in order to avoid slipping up to the field.

Betting

I’ll go with just the one bet on Sunday night and it comes in the first of those two Western Conference battles where I like the look of Los Angeles FC. They looked to have plenty in hand when they took on FC Dallas on Thursday evening and they are the best side in MLS by a street at the minute from what I have seen so it makes sense to take them to repeat their win especially with such a short turnaround not really allowing FC Dallas to come up with a fresh game plan.

Dallas have now lost their last three matches and are right up against it here. It isn’t just in LA where Los Angeles score for fun. They have 15 goals in six road games this season including five in San Jose and four in DC. I’m not usually an odds on backer on away sides anywhere but LAFC look so far ahead of the rest right now that I see 10/11 as value here.
