Big Matches

The televised match comes from Canada where CF Montreal will go up against the New York Red Bulls in a clash between two Eastern Conference sides who are immediately below the cut off point for the play-offs. The other big match comes at the Toyota Stadium where FC Dallas look to continue their recent burst of form when they take on the Western Conference leaders Sporting Kansas City. New England Revolution have the chance to go 12 points clear at the top of the Eastern Conference when they make the trip to Toronto FC.

Best of the Rest

The action begins in the Western Conference for once when Minnesota United host LA Galaxy while New York City host Inter Miami who have suddenly turned a corner with a couple of wins in their last three matches. The last two matches sees Houston Dynamo hosting a high flying Colorado Rapids team and then Real Salt Lake are at home again when they go up against the newcomers to the league in the form of Austin FC.

Betting

Real Salt Lake is never the easiest to go at the best of times and with Austin FC struggling on the road at the minute and certainly finding it hard to find the back of the net on their travels, I expect RSL to pick up another victory in front of their home fans. There is a natural home advantage for Real Salt Lake which is probably the last thing that Austin FC need given their present woes on the road, which come as a surprise given that they won two of their first three away games this term.

They haven’t won away since then though and all told they have lost four of their last five matches. Real Salt Lake come in here having lost their last two matches but they were both on the road so we can allow them that. They are a much stronger outfit at home. The big concern for me with Austin FC is their goal output on their travels. They scored five goals in their first four away games this season but only have one in six since then. RSL don’t ship many at home so I’ve got to think this will be a home win.

Tips

Back Real Salt Lake to beat Austin FC for a 3/10 stake at 1.91 with Betfair
