Big Matches

We have a televised match from each Conference to enjoy on Wednesday evening. They obviously get underway in the Eastern Conference where third placed Orlando City host a CF Montreal side who are now out of the top seven on goal difference and in need of a positive result to get back in there. The attention then switches to the Western Conference where the LA Galaxy will look to end a run of four matches without a win when they play host to a disappointing Houston Dynamo outfit.

Best of the Rest

It is a night where the leaders of the two Conferences are not in action so there is a chance of the Seattle Sounders being usurped off top spot in the Western Conference. Sporting Kansas City will end the night on top of the pile if they can beat Minnesota United but if they don’t then that position will belong to the Colorado Rapids if they pick up three points on their travels to Portland Timbers. Atlanta United will look to keep up their good run of form in what is becoming a wonderful race for the top seven in the Eastern Conference. They know they can’t afford to slip up against FC Cincinnati and the same goes for DC United who entertain the Chicago Fire.

Betting

DC United are usually very strong on their home patch, as seven wins from 10 would testify to this term and they will be expected to pick up another victory when the Chicago Fire come to Audi Field on Wednesday. The Chicago Fire haven’t been a good side in this league for a while now and that is particularly the case on the road where they have picked up four points out of 30 this season, scoring just six goals in the 10 away games and shipping 20.

They should be ripe for the taking for a DC United team who have a good balance between attack and defence at home, whereas away they sometimes get caught between balancing out the two. Humid conditions in DC are always very much an advantage for the home side who are used to them as opposed to Chicago where the climate isn’t so intense. DC have good attacking weapons to unleash at the Fire here and as long as they keep the back door locked I expect a comfortable home win this one.
