MLS 2022 – Sunday 24th April Matches Tips, TV and Betting Preview

The MLS weekend ends with a four-match burst on Sunday which carries plenty of quality and a sign of the early runners and riders in the competition on what should be a really good evening of action on the other side of the pond.

Two of the four matches will be live on TV for us in the UK to sit back and enjoy while they and the other two games will also be able to be seen on the bookmaker streams for those who don’t have the relevant channels.

Sunday’s fixtures are as follows: (UK kick off and TV in brackets)

Inter Miami CF v Atlanta United (18.00)

Orlando City SC v New York Red Bulls (20.30)

FC Cincinnati v Los Angeles Football Club (22.00 – Sky Football)

New York City FC v Toronto FC (22.00 – Free Sports)

Preview

We have to wait until later in the evening for the two televised matches to come along and annoyingly they both kick off at the same time. One of them sees the champions New York City FC taking on potential challengers for the crown this term in Toronto FC while Los Angeles FC will be looking to return to the top of the Western Conference when they go up against FC Cincinnati in what should be a relatively comfortable away win.

The other two matches both come from the Eastern Conference and we have an interesting battle between second and third in that table when Orlando City play host to the New York Red Bulls in a match which isn’t going to be short of technical activity. The other match sees Inter Miami looking for a third win in succession when they host an Atlanta United who haven’t always looked overly convincing so far this season.

Betting

FC Cincinnati just can’t seem to find anything to get going in MLS and I’m not sure they are going to ignite their season on Sunday evening either when they host a Los Angeles FC side who so far this season have looked back in the sort of form they were in when they came into the league under Bob Bradley. They were taken off top spot in the Western Conference on Saturday and will be motivated to get back there in a match they should win here.

In Carlos Vela, LAFC have someone who is still one of the best players in MLS and while FC Cincinnati have some decent individual talent they just can’t seem to gel into a rhythm to pick up regular results. They have only won two matches this season and seem to look like they are going to concede goals whenever a team attacks them. The only defeat LAFC have suffered this season came in the derby and they weren’t outclassed in that one. I expect them to win this one.

Tips

Back Los Angeles FC to beat FC Cincinnati for a 3/10 stake at 1.91 with William Hill
