NFL 2018 – Week 14 Sunday Early Games Betting Preview

Given that there are just four weeks of the NFL regular season left, the many matches that take place up and down America have increasing importance and significance. Most of the league are in action in the week 14 early game schedules.

There are plenty of division matches this week which will beeven more vital than normal but the other games are just as big with the racefor divisional titles and wildcard spots very much up for grabs.

1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)

There are no fewer than five matches between teams from the same division in these matches with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers playing host to the rampant New Orleans Saints while in the NFC East the Washington Redskins welcome the New York Giants to town. All four sides in the AFC East do battle in this round of games with the Buffalo Bills taking on the New York Jets while the New England Patriots head to Florida to face the Miami Dolphins. The other match sees the Indianapolis Colts heading to the Houston Texans in what could be the match that determines the outcome of the AFC South.

The TV match in this round of games comes from Arrowhead Stadium where the Baltimore Ravens are the latest side to attempt to stop this Kansas City Chiefs offense. The other two matches has the Cleveland Browns hosting the Carolina Panthers while the Atlanta Falcons are the first side to head to Lambeau Field since Mike McCarthy was removed by the Green Bay Packers.

4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)

We have five matches in this kick off slot with just the one coming in the same division and it makes up the TV match as the reigning Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles head to the Dallas Cowboys in a game the Eagles can’t afford to lose if they harbour any hopes of making it to the postseason.

The Los Angeles Chargers have the chance to strengthen theirown playoff claims when they host Cincinnati Bengals while the Denver Broncosgo to Levi’s Stadium to take on San Francisco 49ers. The other two matches seesArizona Cardinals playing the Detroit Lions and Oakland Raiders meeting thePittsburgh Steelers

Betting

It is getting to the stage of the season where we need to think about who is competitive and playing for something and who isn’t and with that in mind I like just two bets in these matches. Both the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts have things to play for but I expect the Texans to use home advantage to maximum effect. We’ve seen in the past how the Colts have struggled to protect Andrew Luck and their O-line will be tested to the full against this elite Texans pass rush. Demaryius Thomas has added an extra verve to the Texans offense and they are absolutely flying at the minute. I fancy that can continue with a relatively comfortable win for Houston in this one.

Los Angeles Chargers are living up to their name and charging towards the postseason and the Cincinnati Bengals shouldn’t put up much opposition to that. The Bengals head to California without their starting quarterback Andy Dalton and with major questions over leading receiver AJ Green and they have nothing to play for from a competitive season standpoint. It has almost gone unnoticed that the Chargers are only one win behind the Chiefs in the AFC West so there is plenty on the line for them. In an ideal world they would have Melvin Gordon fit but they shouldn’t need him to run up a big win here.
