NFL 2018 – Week 4 Sunday Early Games Betting Preview

As ever the majority of the matches in the latest week of the NFL season will take place on Sunday afternoon and evening and as we plough through the week 4 fixtures we should get some really good action to enjoy.

Divisional battles and top notch clashes are the order of the day in the early matches and with a TV game in each kick off zone as well as the wonderful Redzone coverage there is no reason for those of us in the UK to miss any of it.

1pm Kick Offs (6pm UK time)

The TV match in this section of games is one of two divisional matches on the card in the early games. It sees the New England Patriots hosting the Miami Dolphins in a big match in the AFC East. The other same division match comes from the AFC South as the Indianapolis Colts welcome the Houston Texans to town.

The champions are in action when the Philadelphia Eagles head to the Tennessee Titans while Atlanta Falcons will look to see off the Cincinnati Bengals. Two of the surprise packages of the season meet at Soldier Field when the Chicago Bears host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Two sides with losing records do battle in Texas where the Dallas Cowboys go up against the Detroit Lions with the other two matches seeing Green Bay Packers hosting the Buffalo Bills and the Jacksonville Jaguars taking on the New York Jets.

4.05/4.25pm Kick Offs (9.05/9.25pm UK time)

There are four matches in the later of the two kick off times with the TV match coming from MetLife Stadium where the New York Giants take on the New Orleans Saints. Elsewhere the Arizona Cardinals welcome their NFC West rivals Seattle Seahawks to town while Oakland Raiders will go up against Baker Mayfield and his Cleveland Browns side. Los Angeles Chargers meet the San Francisco 49ers in the other game.

Betting

We have to wait until the later games for my bets on Sunday with three of the four 9pm matches catching my eye. In the TV game I think the New Orleans Saints offense will deliver the goods against the New York Giants. No team has really got to grips with this Saints offense yet this season and while the Giants is the best defence they will have faced it is probably the worst offense their defence will have come up against. The Giants are going to have to find a bucket load of points in this one but I’m not convinced they have it in them.

The Oakland Raiders have shown signs at times in their matches that the Jon Gruden set up has legs but they haven’t done enough for me and I think they can be taken on with the Cleveland Browns who could easily be 3-0 for the season if their kicker in the first two weeks could handle the pressure. The Browns have a high class defence and it was clear to see the lift Baker Mayfield gave their offense and with him playing from the start here he can lead them to victory.

Finally the Arizona Cardinals have to be opposed given their start to the season. They have only scored 20pts in their first three matches and you wouldn’t think an avalanche of them are suddenly going to come against the Seattle Seahawks either. I don’t think Seattle are the best team going around but they have enough about them to get the job done in the desert against a faltering offense and a defence that has spent far too much time on the field this season already.

Week 4 accumulator

We finally nailed an accumulator last week to put us into profit for the season so we go into week 4 with a £64.70 advantage. With teams on byes for the first time there aren’t as many matches to go at and there are some warm favourites this week so it is just a small bet to keep us interested.
